Catching up on random stuff

So I realize that I am not the most faithful blogger. Maybe someday I will be, it will probably be the same day that I am totally caught up on my laundry, which for those of you with kids knows, is never. That being said, I did have a few minutes so I thought I would just catch up on a few random things.

This is our family on Easter Sunday, I realized that there weren't very many pictures (if any) of our whole family. So here we are. For those of you who don't know, our family took up snowboarding this year. Well technically, Billy and Niko started last year, but Lucy and I joined them this year and we've had a blast! These pictures are from our trip to Red Mountain in Canada (just north of Spokane). It was one the funnest weekends we've had as a family. The snow was perfect and there was tons of it. It snowed about 2 ft in the few days before we got there and another 3 ft. while we were there. Talk about heaven!

Niko and Billy on top of the world. (or at least the mountain)

Look, I found another picture of our whole family.

Nichole and Niko, the views were AMAZING!!!

This video is of Lucy at the beginning of the season, unfortunately, she didn't snowboard in Canada because her leg was still bothering her from when she hurt it at Brooklyn's party.

Well I think my time is up. Hopefully I will be able to blog again soon.

Lucy's Leg

I just wanted to let you all know that Lucy's leg is feeling much better, she even went to school without her crutches today. Although, I think if it had been up to her she would have taken them just for the attention.

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!!!

Well here it goes, we'll see if I can actually get this post to work. . .

Brooklyn celebrated her 1st birthday this week. I can't believe she is one! Luckily she is still pretty small so I feel like she is still my baby. She is walking now and is starting to realize how much more she can get into, not really good for me, she particularly likes pulling things out of the cupboards and playing with the dog food. She is very dramatic and can go from being totally happy, to bawling her head off with big crocodile tears, and then back to happy in less than a minute. I feel kindof bad that I laugh when she starts crying but I can't help it she is just so cute.

Anyways, we started off the week by taking her to get her pictures taken. I think they turned out really cute.

Friday was her actual birthday and on Saturday we had a party for her. It was a lot of fun with family and friends. Brooklyn's cake was made by one of my neighbors and Brooklyn did a great job eating it and playing with the frosting.

Oh yeah and by the way, during the party, Lucy was outside jumping on the trampoline with a few other kids and we all hear crying. I look out the window and see Lucy holding her leg and crying. Talk about de javu. Anyways, after the party we ended up taking her to the ER and luckily it's not broken but she does have a contusion (basically a really deep bruise that goes all the way to the bone) so they had to put a splint on it and we are supposed to follow up with an orthopedist next week. It is not the same leg she broke before, and it is on her shin, not her femur, but I can't help thinking I've done this before. . .

Ok, So I'm a little behind. . .

I know I haven't been a very good blogger lately but I thought I would post a few pics from the last couple months to catch up a little. Everyone is doing well and although life is going way too fast, I really can't complain, we are very blessed. . .
OK! Change of plans. . . I started this post about a week ago, I keep trying to find time to finish it. . . I tried this morning but for some reason my pictures aren't uploading so I'm posting this just so y'all know I tried and I'll get back to blogging when I get a chance. But don't hold your breath. Sorry!

Brooklyn's 6 month pictures

I really hate going out of order and I still have a few things to blog about from August but I just had to share the pictures I had taken of Brooklyn today. She is now 6 months old. She is still such a joy, she is starting to get around quicker now and isn't really interested in sitting still. She has 2 teeth but I think she might be working on more because she's been a little fussy the last couple days and she attacks anything that gets near her mouth which can be pretty dangerous for our hands, fingers, and faces. Anyways here are the pics.
(They were able to crop this one so you don't see the background.)

Sorry

Sorry, I've been trying to get the video of Lucy wake boarding onto the blog but it doesn't want to work for some reason. But she did do a good job.

Wake-Boarding

Lucy was actually brave enough to try wake-boarding. She got up for a couple of seconds but then fell and once her face got wet she was done. We were really proud of her for trying.

The High Dive

The Moses lake aquatic center had a high dive, Nicholas was scared to go on it at first but after watching a few people go he decided to brave it. I was really proud of him. Of course after he had done it once, he wanted to keep doing it. It was fun.

Moses Lake

The first week of August our family took a little vacation in the sweet city of Moses Lake. It was a lot of fun, and a well deserved break for Billy. We stayed at a campground resort that we bought into last year. Our good friends the Whites were able to be there at the same time which was nice because they have a boat and there's not a whole lot to do in Moses lake if you don't have a boat. We were able to innertube, wake-board, surf and swim. We went to the aquatic center in town which was actually really fun, they had 3 water slides and a great kiddie area. Overall it was a great little get away for our family.

Billy wake-surfing. For those of you who don't know what that is, you can actually surf on the wake right behind the boat. Once you get it down you can actually drop the rope and you can keep riding the wave for as long as you can. It is pretty fun. Brooklyn and her friend Dallis just chillin on the boat.
Two hot babes ready for the pool. Deanna gave us this swimsuit and cover at Brooklyn's baby shower and just had to get one for Dallis too. Aren't they cute!

Brooklyn actually really liked the pool, she loves to splash.
Hunter, Nicholas, and Dallis Lucy just hangin by the pool.
Lucy and her buddy Cooper on the tube.

Noah had a lot of fun and he thought it was cool to wear his swimsuit everyday. It was a few days after we got home before we convinced him to start wearing regular clothes again.

Look I was there too!

Time to Catch Up! (July)

Well it's 9:00p.m. and all of my kids are in bed so I thought I'd better take this oppurtunity to catch you all up on what The Jessee's have been doing all summer.

A Visit from the Wells's
In July, Dustin and Wendy and their kids got to come up for a visit. It was fun to see them. Wendy and I were able to spend a day in Seattle at the Science Center and at the Fountain in Seattle Center. It was a lot of fun and the kids seemed to like it too.
It was really fun for Niko and Lucy to spend time with their cousins that they don't get to see much.
Swim Lessons
The kids also spent the month of July taking swimming lessons twice a week they had a lot of fun and are eager to continue. (Maybe after soccer in the Fall, I will sign them back up) I don't have any pictures of Niko because the day I had my camera, he wasn't there. But here are some pictures of Lucy and Noah.

Happy Birthday Nicholas!!

Nicholas celebrated his 9th birthday on July 29th. (I can't believe I have a 9 year old.) We celebrated at Grandma Jan's house with a barbecue and party. He got some very cool stuff. We gave him a digital camera and he has been snapping pictures ever since. (I'll have to have him upload some of the pictures that he has taken.)

Nicholas also completed all the requirements to earn his Wolf badge in the Cub Scout program. He also earned 3 arrow heads for doing some extra things. Good Job Niko!

And as for Brooklyn . . .

She is still the best baby in the world. She is so happy and easy to take care of, and of course she is adorable! (Not that I'm biased or anything.) Here are some pictures from the month.

Brooklyn loves her brother.

Tell me that's not cute!

With all the running around we have to do Brooklyn has to spend a fair amount of time in her car seat, but she doesn't seem to mind.

I wish I could post all the pictures from this "photo shoot" she gave a totally different look in each picture and they are all cute, but you guys are probably getting tired of me telling you how cute she is, so I just chose a few.
